HOOAH! BAR...at 7-11

Well, I headed to my local 7-11 this morning as always to buy my breakfast...a MetRX bar and a 16oz water from home when low and behold I saw that they were carrying the HOOAH! bars. They had two kinds...apple cinnamon and one other one...DAMN, THIS SHORT TERM MEMORY problem that I have...

At any rate, the bar is small but somewhat tasty. It remined me of a very soft and chewy granola bar. It packs a whopping 280 calories per bar and 9g of Fat and 10g or protein if I recall. At any rate, if you have a 7-11 in your area stop by for a HOOAH! bar. They retail for $1.99. Look for them in the protein bar section of the store.

Why am I mentioning this? Well, it is a component of the upcoming 2006 MRE menus that will be out next year? Kman?

PS No I did not see any OORAH! bars for your "jarheads" out there.

That's pretty cool finally seeing those things in the stores. I still haven't run across any but I'll keep my eyes open for them.

And yes, they're finally returning the Hooah bars to the MREs. I can't recall off the top of my head, but they used to be in there - maybe it was the 2003 menus? But then they took them out and now they're putting them back in. Maybe enough people complained about the "Chocolate Sports Bar" that they had to change it.

I will buy one tomorrow and do a scan of it kman. They must have read my mind about getting rid of that horrible sports bar...YUCK!

No, I haven't run across any yet. I don't even know if you have any 7-11s here in Charlotte. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them.
