Been waiting a long time....

Post by MrFahrenheit » Tue May 11, 2021 8:58 am

I've been waiting a long time to get hold of a case of these, every time I found some they were either sold out or had stupidly high prices, or they just never have been for sale very often here such as they are so scarce, but today a parcel finally appears...

What are these elusive rations....

A full set! :D

Okay.... .....so they aren't that rare for most of you, but for myself who's been trying to secure a full set for a while now it's like Christmas has come ☺️

I have to thank Bart over at https://www.mre-empire.com/ again for hooking me up, both on these forums and from his site, always a pleasure to deal with.

Right....which one to try first.....🍴
I came, I saw, I ate some rations then fell asleep amongst the clover.

There isn’t a bad meal in the line up.
Congrats on finally scoring a case!

Thanks, hope to get some time from work soon and do some camping and give them a try.

Jetboil is your best friend with an MCW.

I tell ya, I loved that Seafood Chowder meal.
I think I had that once on Big Squam lake in my bass boat a few years back. Seemed like the right menu for the absolute beauty of that lake.

Oh that's awesome stuff

Yeah I'm a Jetboil fanatic, I've a couple of them now and an MSR reactor, I've just invested in a new Hilleberg soulo BL tent as well so hopefully soon I'll get out on the hills and give them all a try

Not that rare? I've never even seen one. If I ever do, my Swedish military stove will get used.

Serious?! You have no access in the US to MCW?

My local base commissary carries new issue MREs and TOTMs, but that's all. No FSRs or MCWs. I could probably find them online - at robbery prices, but why? I can get Mountain House entrees almost anywhere and have essentially the same thing.
