I purchased another case of MREs.
My wife came in with the box irritated and stated, "Andrew!! You don't NEED any more MREs!!"
Sooo...Anyone else experience this? Any tips to convert spouses to appreciate MREs? haha

I don’t recommend this approach but if they don’t know about the three new cases of Canadian IMPs I got in last week, does it really even count?

Ahh, yes! The ole' "
what they don't know doesn't hurt them" approach. Generally, on smaller purchases, I can get away with this. I think I need to get more tactical in my shipping arrival times.

Good idea. I recently invested some time in researching various subscriptions based box companies including a bunch that dealt with survival. Most of them went under, unfortunately. It appears this company is still around:

Few different approaches to this tricky situation, especially with so many people at home during lockdown it's hard to take delivery without being caught. I'd say 90% of my purchases currently have to pass through my home customs at the front door, and the interrogation as to why this need enter the house can be pretty stiff. Anyway:
1. Custom delivery times/days. This should always be your first port of call. Delivery to a friend or neighbour has also been a successful approach for me.
2. Always play down the cost. Remember, these things are cheap, they're practically being given away.
3. Involve the children. My kids love to eat "army food" and my partner doesn't have to cook. As long as I can keep my children interested I reckon in safe from eviction!

A Radio show / Podcast I listen to has a philosophy related to this called, "The Three Prices You Pay"
The Three Prices You Pay are defined as:
1 - The price you actually paid.
2 - The price you told "her" you paid
3 - The price you pay when she finds out the actual price you paid

Gotta say, I got ridiculed right up the point the pandemic started and he realized we could live for a year without leaving the house. Not a peep since then.... LOL.
(Ok, a year might be a bit of a stretch, but...)

my wife can't stand the pile of totes I have in our garage (its perfect cold storage location, its never higher than 60f). She gets pissy when a box is on our porch, which is often
