You can't get MRE's in Australia, so I can't check for myself, but I was bemused to find in the offical menu listings for MRE's that some meals include a "shortbread cookie" while others include a "patriotic shortbread cookie"
I HAVE to know!
What does one do to a bircuit to make it patriotic?
Patriotic Cookie?
Patriotic Cookie?
Trustme, I'm a chemist...
Re: Patriotic Cookie?
Have it made in the U.S., sourced from U.S raw materials, by a worker that is legally documented to work in the U.S.?
I think such items may be a bit of a rarity these days.

I see those "Patriotic" shortbread cookies are part of menu 24 in the 2008 menus:

(yum, Chicken w/ Salsa, Fried Rice, and Patriotic cookies....wtf?...seems like an odd combination)
When I think of Patriotic cookies, I envision a shortbread cookie with red, white, and blue sprinkles on it.
But check it out...I actually got some google hits on those cookies - no pictures, just nutuitional info:
