where do you eat most of your mre's?

hey guys and girls. where do you consume the majority of your mre's. i take one when i go golfing and eat it throughout the day. i also take them when my son and i go hiking, fishing and camping. i also offer a free course where i live that teaches some basic survival techniques, and some basic military tacticts. such as manuevering in the field. and tactical shooting. i eat a lot during those exercises. it is sort of fend for yourself on food. since its free and all. but i would like to hear what others do with their rations. oh yeah and i eat a lot of them at home in front of the tele watching survivorman and future weapons. i just cant help it they are so good.

I eat probably 90% of mine hunting/camping, the rest are either introducing someone to them at home, or on the rare occasion the wife leaves to visit her family I'll break one out.

If you mean those slices of crap in the little round can that I ate the other day, I'd trade them every time. I was hoping for more out of them, but they were okay as long as you put stuff on them or used them for dipping, but straight out of the can I could have done with another side or something.

Hmmmm let me see. It think most of the time I eat MRE's are on the fireline during the summer months when the pogues in basecamp can't helicopter hot chow into us at night or when they forget to give us our sack lunches at noon. I know I carry two at least that are field stripped, though last year I did carry a Canadian IMP. I got some strange looks at that one but I ate good, :D

When we take the sailboat out I toss a few MREs on board.

The MREs don't usually get eaten, but sometimes you can't find a dock-side eatery and it's good to have options. The boat has a refrigerator, but if you keep food in it the beer will get warm.

I usually travel out of town a couple nights each week. So when I'm stuck in a hotel room away from home and my choices are eating out (which chances are 50/50 will be junk food) or eating an MRE in, I'll do the MRE.
