Hello everyone,
I purchased 3 "Mystery" MRE off of what is essentially german Craigslist, buyer could, as always, not really tell me anything about where it came from, production date or how it was stored, they were quite cheap and judging by the picture, a bit older, so I bought them.
They arrived and I'm pretty sure these are from mid-2003. Menus match up mostly and date code also seems right.
However, the Menu No.9 came with a different, I presume older FRH. Never saw this type personally.
Here are pictures showing what I mean Date Code: https://i.imgur.com/57Mi8VI.jpg and the FRHs https://i.imgur.com/8BWrPut.jpg
is that a thing that happens? Two different generations of FRHs in one date code range?
They're all days from each other produced and presumably packed.
Also, are the Cocoa Beverages and Vanilla Shakes in these still edible, assuming they were stored somewhat okay?
Cheers,
Keanu

Ok the shakes, go for it, try them, when milk goes bad you will feel it, so make them (hot water makes it more easy to discover these things) and give them a small try...
I have Spanish rations permanently, feel free to ask

Were the meals packed by the same company?
