1948 B-Unit

Just had this arrive today.
A B-Unit Crackers with blue text from December of 1948.
I'm led to believe that this came from either an RCI C-2 or a Field Ration Type E. I'd lean more towards the RCI C-2. Anyone else have an opinion?
The can is basically the same size as an MCI main entree can.
