Sorry norge, I forgot to ask you this in my last post; are the cold weather ration white pouches that you have on display still fit to consume or are they just for display? The reason I ask is that I'm not sure how long the white pouches are good for, awesome pics! Thanks.

Yes the white cold weather rations were quite a hit back in the day, I remember my national guard unit accidentally got a dozen cases once in the early 90s and I thought the food was way better than the MREs.

norge, I have a question to the first photo page 4 of that topic: Is it possible to post a close-up of the fourth pouch of Crackers (olive green?) seen from left to right? I guess I have never seen that type before :? :) !

Thank you mreheater72

Norge, thanks a lot for the close-ups of the Crackers :D 8) . The RAFCO ones in the dark brown pouch I have seen already, but the olive green ones are absolute new to me :o 8) . Additionally it is amazing that they were packed 1989, that time they usually used dark brown foil for packing nearly every MRE constituent :o ! You live and learn :) ! Thank you :D !

So long mreheater72

Very nice pictures, thank you for sharing them :D I remember eating the old LRRP rations in the Boy Scouts many years ago, everything was freeze dried, but very tasty when rehydrated. I wish I had saved some of them, bit alas, they were too good to save it seemed :D
