Have you tried eBay? Enter the search key of "mre tray" I think you might be able to get the items for a few dollars below what you might pay from Longlife Foods, but you'll have to pay eBay's shipping charges (which are a bit higher than if you use the carrier directly.)

By the way `dirt, do you happen to work at Camp "Bob"?
That's really an uncalled for and ill-mannered outburst. Speaking of school, perhaps a refresher course in manners is in order? Longlife Foods prices are not exactly a rip-off when you consider that they are the manufacturer's official retailer and that their prices include shipping. One thing to keep in mind when doing mail-order these days is that the absolute cheapest price for OTC UPS is over $7 now and that would be for the local delivery of a 1lb package.

Also as Kman mentioned, the UGR tray ration has been replaced by the UGR H&S ration that is self heating.

Hey folks, I wish to apologize to anyone who took offense at my earlier posting. Absolutlely no insult or slam was intended toward any of you. I guess my attempt at humor (notice the smilie face after my post?) was off-track. To be honest with you, after several re-reads of my posting I still don't get what could seriously be taken as insulting, but I do truely apologize to those of you who took issue with it. I am sorry.

Now, let's eat!

Not a problem. As dirtbag said, sometimes keyboard humor doesn't come across right and can be interpreted as hostile even when appropriate emoticons are placed strategically. I'm sure we've all done it once or twice, ... or more

Everyone
Is anybody besides C-Rats still interested in finding some T-Rations or "Trays"? I am near a dealer that has a few available. Not much variety (i.e. 2 different meals) :? , but he as them. If intertested just post a response here. Thanks

Ebay Dealer

Just want to let you guys know if you didn't..
There is a seller on Ebay that keeps listing T-Rations.
I emailed them about 4 times before I got a response.

When I emailed I was asking for a packing date.
Each time I got no response..this time I got a reply and they said they sold a lot of these and got no complaints..
Also the most important thing was that they didn't know the dates.
Emailing them was an exercise in futility..
They just seemed not to care too much..

The ad is all the same..something about the family taking these rations and spooning out some and microwaving it to eat.

Beware as the stock might be old as some of the items are no longer produced.

Treesuit,

Which t-rations does he have? How much is he asking for them? Depending upon the menu and price, I might be interested.

I'd be interested in hearing about what Lifesaver asked!

Please count me in on this as well!

Also, can anyone give me an idea as to what the normal shelf life is on T-rats? I'd hate to let mine expire just sitting in my closet when I could be pigging out....or having a block party! :D Mmmmmmmm, Pound Cake goodness!

If you check at :

http://www.usariem.army.mil/nutri/milrat.htm

they say:

Shelf life (the length of time that rations can be stored without losing nutritional value, wholesomeness and quality) varies from ration to ration, but generally it is a minimum of 3 years at 80°F/27°C, or 6 months at 100°F/38°C

I also didn´t found any further information for the last two years of "investigation" about... :?:
