the first rcw was taped together,the next batch in the 1990s had rubber bands.

the rafco rcw was made in one batch i think,since i never have found other
year models afther them so next was 1990s.

Last fall (2009) a buddy of mine home on leave from the 10TH Mountain Division showed me a "current" cold weather ration and it came in a tan pouch, I had read that the DLA has ceased issuing the cold weather/LRRP combo ration but this pouch did not look like it had anywhere near the food that the old white cold weather ration pouches had. Does anyone know if the white cold weather rations are still issued or is there something totally different now? Wish I'd asked him to open it up for me so I could take and post pics.
