2500 grams for a 24 hour ration? The Swedish / Norwegian / British arctic one is below 1 kg. And the ration for rangers (4500 kcal) is 1.1 kg. I would not like to carry that around while in the field - especially since they seem to be quite large for a Bergen.

Beppo, Romanians don't have MRE's. It's all done in mobile kitchens and they're feed in the field with canned meat, something like Spam. But is no thing like MRE in Romania.
