I'm guessing/hoping that the lack of variety is just because that was one of their initial cases - it kind of sounded like they put it together out of whatever spare parts they could find. As they ramp up production, hopefully the variety will come back.

It's not just you - $75 is pretty expensive. But I think that's just list pricing. I'm guessing wholesale pricing will be a lot less (at Mountain House, for example, wholesale pricing is around 60%).

I'm guessing we'll see these case for about $65 each once they hit the streets. This is about the same as the Sopakco SurePak MREs go for.

Nice link CaptBob

Looks like a few genuine mre items in there.

Two things tho...Weight 2 Lbs/12 meals..maybe just a typo..
..and the nonstandard spoon.
the long/strong brown ones are good.

Well, I don't know where they got "2 lbs" from. Perhaps they got confused with the weight of just one meal. The case says on the side "net weight 18 lbs".

As for the spoon, yes, as I mentioned in the previous post, one of the differences is the long-handled white spoon and the conventional folded napkin packed with it.
