Feds investigating ebay MRE sales
No one crying here that I see CID_AGENT. I like buying MREs and hope that I will always be able to, but it is just insulting our intelligence for someone to claim they have received their MREs legally. It is written plainly that the MREs are for US Government use only and not to be resold, so how CajunClara and others can say they have obtained these MREs legally is a crock 'o shit! I was not able to find Clara's name in the US Government listing in the phonebook so that kind of rules her out as being a legal government reseller of said MREs.

Hasn't your resident attorney and counselor discussed this issue in the forums previously? I have the same questions as the eBay representative. Show me the statute(s) that criminalize the possession, purchase or sale of MRE's, otherwise get over the "Commercial Resale Unlawful" printing on the case packaging. Once these items are in the stream of commerce -- it's capitalism in the absence of governmental interference or restraint. By the way, is eBay commercial resale? Or, is ordering an MRE from your corner restaurant commercial resale?Additionally, Durzy said, eBay has asked the Pentagon to cite the law that would prohibits the sale of its MREs, but has not gotten an answer.
"When we asked them to show us a law to show it is unlawful, and they were unable to do so, we said they're legal as far as we're concerned," Durzy said.
