Hi Kman,I would think either, pork rib,or beef enchilada would sell due to the sexual connotation(Ready to Eat , Individual) :D

Hi guys. Just to let you know I haven't been completely slacking off...

Here's a sneak peak at the MRE t-shirts:

Image

For now, it looks like the easiest thing to do is to work this through CafePress. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any tan t-shirts available. DirtyDave says that maybe if I sign up for the premium service, that option will be there so we'll see.

I gave up on the idea of scanning the MRE bags in and I just went ahead and created the design from scratch. The hardest part of the process is identifying the fonts used. I was able to figure out the "Meal" font but the "Ready-to-Eat, Individual" font isn't perfect yet.

I'm going to try to get that font to match up better and then I'll order a shirt to make sure the final product looks good. If it does, I'll turn you guys loose on the store.

The good news here is that since I created/copied the design from scratch, I can make up *any* MRE menu. So if you want any menus 1-24, we can do that. Or heck...if you wanted a "No. 2 - Ham & Chicken Loaf", that could be arranged. :-)

Kman, what are you going to put on the back? Why not put your website addy on there and the slogan Because everything tastes good when you're hungry. I think that would be an excellent idea! It is no extra charge for this option.

To correct you on that post, I am not sure if they will have the tan color available with the premium upgrade so don't blame me for that. I would inquire before you go trusting me...LOL!

Oh, you did a KILLER job on creating that from scratch. It looks fantastic! Are you going to have a Wornick one as well? LOL!

Yes, I suppose we could also have Wornick t-shirts...and even AmeriQual - but I refused to replicate that stupid MRE bag design of theirs!

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea DirtyDave and Kyle. You got me thinking about how best to do a logo or whatever on the back of the shirt. I'll see what I can come up with. If you guys have any suggestions or designs, feel free to send them my way!

The shirt looks great. Hard to believe you put it together from scratch. And I think DirtyDave's suggestion about the web address and your slogan on the back is a good one.

Kyle may well be right about the item to choose. Personally, I think the more "unusual" entrees are the most fascininating. I mean, come on, "Jamaican Pork Chop w/Noodles??" You can't get that at the neighborhood diner, but you can get it in a freakin' MRE? Or go notorious: Country Captain Chicken.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Xmas is around the corner...

That's cool, DirtyDave. From what I understand, the top five posters were going to be giving me a case of MREs (each) for Christmas! And the top-top poster (hmmm....wonder who that is?) was going to give me TWO cases. Giving them a t-shirt is the least I could do. :-)
