Wow, guys. An Amazing number of MRE's, over 300. The maximum I had ever stored were 36 Mre's. First ones came from Irak.
Currently I have about 20 left. And a few dutch and foreign rations, for collectional purposes. I don't have a reliable source for rations in the Netherlands and the few that I have are eaten occasionally. Thanks to my buddies who aren't keen on rations

Otherwise it would be even less.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Nawt.

"7 year shelf life from now!"
I can't make out the dates in the picture. I wonder when these were packed. I don't care for eBay sellers who aren't straight about this.
I once got a pair of cases from a seller who had used a razor blade to slice the packing date off the cases, leaving only the inspection date. I already knew he had done it from the auction photo, but it still strikes me as a shady practice.

Too bad he doesn't have a 'buy it now' option

I'll bet if you lived near him and made him an offer on the side, he'd take it. I'd be surprised if this auction actually has a winner...that's a lot of money for one auction and I'm even talking about shipping!

You have good eye, Norge. I couldn't make it out even after magnifying the picture.
If I bought these, I'd rent a trailer, take a week off, and drive to AZ to pick them up. Probably cost about the same as having them shipped, but it would be a cool roadtrip.

It looks like an 05 or 06 year on the pack date. We'd have to go Back to the Future for an 09 pack date
I'd still be less that inclined to buy something like that, that may have been stored in Arizona weather for any length of time. My brother lives outside of Phoenix and it's often well in excess of 100º in his garage, more if the door is closed.
I wonder what those red stickers are on the boxes?

I assumed Norge was talking about the inspection date, not the pack date.
That would mean 2006 for the pack date.
I agree about the storage history. I guess I'll have to open one and eat it just to be sure before I load them into my trailer.

Those red stickers are the temperature check stickers. They change color if the case has been exposed to extreme temperatures.
"That others might live."
