Old School or Modern Desserts?
Re: Old School or Modern Desserts?
Last week I got my hands on a 1992 brown bag MRE (Escalloped potatoes and ham) that came with the chocolate covered brownie. The brownie looked and smelled pretty good so I tried it. I got to admit the flavor was pretty good but the texture was a bit off. The brownie portion was dry and powdery but the cocoa flavor was excellent. When it was fresh, it must have been amazing.

The brownie chocolate covered was, to me, always like the stepchild of the chocolate covered oatmeal cookie. Its ok, but not quite as good as the chocolate covered oatmeal cookie.Mpitt wrote:Last week I got my hands on a 1992 brown bag MRE (Escalloped potatoes and ham) that came with the chocolate covered brownie.
