MREHeater72,

That is a very nice find, you have such amazing luck. I want to answer a lingering question for everybody about the fruit can or the mysterious missing one. About 6-8 years ago I had a ration similar to this one that my father picked up at estate sale for a few dollars. It was in okay condition unfortunately the fruit can (peaches in this case) had rusted and the juice had leaked all over the cardboard box and A-packet; but the other cans were perfectly fine.

I did have a clear plastic spoon in mine and the A-pack was identical to yours. I also had pound cake in mine which I think was rare and the date on the cans were 1959-60?? Also I didn't have a instruction sheet in mine. So I would venture to say that your box might have had a fruit can in it but might have been swaped out with another at some point as the fruit cans were prone to explode or leak.

I bet there might be some photos out there that would show the complete in-flight ration.

now I'm going on watch for something like that. I can't wait to find a C-Ration or whatnot that is perfectly sealed.
