I just wanted to tell folks about beprepard because some dont play ebay like us and some dont want to chase a case untill the last 30 seconds of the bidding that can end at 1am. Its funny i live in the mountains 30 miles west of denver and have one bedroom full of gear and food more than i will ever need but still cant seem to pass up a good deal. started buying in 1984. point of intrest most folks dont know that tuna in water has a 3 to 5 year shelf life. great for home stock. i have eaten 5 year old tuna and it was fine. well  it looks like im writing a book here so later . good forum
Full of what kind of "gear" and food? What are you preparing for?

twobravo.what kind or gear? well that goes by where you live- in florida you dont need a -30 deg sleeping bag but might need alot more water. I always tell folks to stock up on everything they need then when thats done come home from work some friday this winter and shut your power and water off
dont turn them back on untill monday. that will teach you what you forgot real fast.
what kind of food? the long life kind so you dont have rotate to often. short term-mres long term-freeze dried
what am i preparing for? I belive you should prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Keep up on whats going on around the world
what have i stocked? heat-light-power-water-food-medical-firearms
three years ago we got 5 feet of 6to1 ratio snow in a two days. i stayed home and talked on my ham radio built a fire and was fine for eight days. the folks down the mountain freaked and hired a dozer for two grand to plow them out. that would have bought alot of supplies
well i hope that answers your question
ps In any emergency dont forget to check on the old folks that live by you they are the first to need help

Re the shelf life of tuna: canned meats, vegetables, beans, etc have a shelf life of up to five years for best quality. Anything beyond five years is a quality issue, not food safety. It's the canned tomato and fruit products that have a shorter shelf life due to the high acidity (12-18 months). I deal with a lot of Private Label issues with the supermarket chain I work for, and a rep from the company that supplies our canned pork & beans told me that beans last indefinitely under optimal storage conditions. She also told me that they had a party for long time employees and they opened up a 20 year old can of their beans to try The rep told me the beans were fine (some reward for service!!).

LOL, no problem, the drums are extremely portable. I can bring my cat along to keep the dobermans company...LOL!

Slingerland was my first drumset, got it back in 1981 along with RUSH'S MOVING PICTURES album. Talk about an easy way to start out playing the drums...LOL!

Was your set mother of pearl as well kent?
