Many sets I've seen have been taped, were rubber bands used by some manufacturers?

yes! Mullins and Cincinnati/cinpack used it from about 1992

I have seen Rafcos, Ryt-Aways, and those Cinpacs all held by strong rubber bands.


Hey Ken, i had a cinpac about 5 years ago and believe it was a 1990. It had those chocolate bars toffee enriched sweet w/ toffee bits which was only ever in those Rafcos.

There is a link to my review of one. That Cinpac is the next best to a Rafco RCW in my opinion. That one had no rubber bands still. Will search the forums.. i had a case of Cinpacs too. They were either 1991 or 1992.. forgetting now.

Those Cinpacs are not as common it seems. Most common are those 1996 Ryt-aways and the 1998 Wornicks (in my experience) And even those have gotten pretty expensive in the last couple years.

Has anyone out there seen a Y2K (2000) DoP rcw? I have one 1999, but still have yet to find or even see a 2000.

Steve! yes you're right about the 1990 cinpac,checked my collection and the cinpac was the 2nd run RCW after RAFCO 1989 so that why there is a mix of dates:89-90 in the cinpacs.

I do have a 1990 RCW cinpac case un opened left,had 2 but opened one years ago
