About those "hamburger buns". Now I know. Housil, are you in the Quartermaster Corps at Lee? Thats where the official US Army Cook school is also. They do it right. When I go to Breakfast, I yell out "COMBO" to the egg man.

Keep up the good work!

Sorry mate, I´m not. But also thx for the flowers
But my father was in 1960 as a head cook (masters degree) in NYC and Miami Fl. 40 years later, I "followed" him and were visiting the places he was. I guess, I got the food stuff in my cradle...

housil,
Thank you for the link to Sun Meadows Foods. That is a great resource. Now, I just need to find out if they will sell their products to us retired soldiers (read "civilians"). I would really like to add some of their breakfast meals to my supplies.

Lifesaver, if you contact them and find out if they'll sell to civilians, please let us know!

Well, we have first contact. Currently, the only meals available for civilian sales are the self heating meals. There is a tab for them on the home page. The shelf stable breakfast kist listed in the military section are not normally available for sale to civilians. That being said, I am waiting for a call back from the person that handles their military sales. Their customer service person said if he okays the sale then it is another matter. They could not give me a price on those meals as their sale is limited to the military (duh). So, until I hear back from the military rep, that is the best update I can give. Anyone interested can order the self heating meals. There is a link on the home page to those meals. The ordering link is all the way at the bottom of the self heating meals page. A word of warning to anyone considering them. They are a bit pricey. YMMV
ETA: Their costomer service person did mention they typically do not sell their meals in less than 50 case lots. We might have to think about this as a group buy if there is enough interest.
