Peanut Butter vs Cheese Spread

I love the Jalapeno cheese spread, the PB is ok but nowhere near as good as the cheese!

It depends. Some entrees are improved with a squeeze of PB, believe it or not. Others are bettered with some of that "cheese-like product". If I eating them alone or on something farinaceous, my preference is slightly towards PB.

Put it this way: I have a couple boxes of peanut butter packets, but no excess "cheese" spread. Perhaps because most IMPs come with 2 PB and the Cheez is far more rare for me.

For me, it depends - on the meal, on the weather, or just whatever mood I'm in. My favorite is the jalapeno squeeze cheese, but PB w/squeeze strawberry jam is a close second.

Showing my age, I know, but I always used to keep a small can of PB from the old MCI (C-ration) in my ruck, along with a pack of matches. Made a good little candle/individual heater for the shelter half on those cold nights...

That, and Ranger Fudge (PB mixed w/Cocoa Powder & spread on a C-ration cracker) was a good quick energy snack.

I prefer the Jalapeno cheese spread. I like the chunky PB over the smooth stuff. The smooth stuff has a weird way of coming back a day or two after eating it. I'd let out a little peanut belch days after eating it, that was worrisome.

Cheese spread any day. It's much better warmed. So is the bread or cracker. Peanut butter is good nutritionally, but kind of hard to swallow, especially on the wheat bread. Jalapeno is the best cheese. All IMO. MRE cheese isn't exactly the best cheese in the world LOL but I eat what's in the bag.

Unless it's vegetarian penne pasta.

I prefer the cheese spread. I noticed that a lot of people does like the spread with jalapeno, but I dont like spicy things.

The PB is also tasty (with some jelly even more) but here in Slovakia it has not a great tradition although we have many sweets with peanuts.

I like 'em both, but I am leaning towards the cheese spread because every bite I take of something with peanut butter on means I need to drink half a glass of something.
The PB just sucks all the saliva and any traces of moisture from my mouth. I'm pretty sure I'm not allergic, but it's seriously difficult to swallow a big bite of cracker or bread with PB on. It's like plaster.
But again, I like the flavor!

Tried my first ever Cheese with Jalapenos yesterday and after nothing but 12 PB/or Jelly in an XMRE case...the cheese wins all day long

But variety is always a good thing
