Sources for shake mix like in MRE

Post by kturnerga » Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:20 am

Hello
I have an elderly parent who needs to gain weight. I saw a picture on the net of an Army doc feeding a Pakistani child an MRE milkshake. Does anyone have a source for any powders that act similar to this? I know the GNC stores have weight-gain shakes but they are rather costly and don't taste as great.

Thanks
KAT

Those aren't really for weight gain. Their more just for the nutrients and carbs I believe.

Your best bet would probably be the GNC weight gain powder.

Revenant makes a good point. There should be plenty of weight gain powders at GNC or you could probably even find some similar shake-drinks at Wal-mart.

But if you really want the MRE milkshakes, here's a source for them (longlifefood.com) - $1.25 each:
