Can someon tell me, when they changed the colour of the Mre Pack from dark brown to the now used colour ?

Hi rudi. The bag colors were changed from dark brown to tan in 1996. I mentioned this on the MRE menus page here:

But I just saw that this information is not on the MRE Improvements page where it really should be, too:

Thank you kman,

i love this mreinfo site, but i didnt find it, to small to regocnize.

but now im sure, that i have t o bid for a case of 1989, becaus i am a collector, and iam searching for this . and a ebayer near to my home town offers them.
hope to get them, asking for" by now" had no sucsess.

Hi Rudi. No worries about your english - it's very good. A lot better than my German.

Good luck with that auction. I hope he's not asking too much for that case. I've managed to pick up a few old cases off of ebay but I haven't had to pay much more than US$20 before.
