My shipment of 2010 MREs arrived!

Post by netboy541 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 11:41 pm

Hey guys! I ordered 4 cases of MREs from armygear.net the other day and they arrived, and to my excitement, they are the new menus!
Same price that they have always been, 89.99 for 2 cases. Ran me about 217 or so for 4 cases.

Here are some pictures of the motherload......

all of them still in the box
all the MREs stacked neatly in the box

all 24 on the floor
all 24 MREs spread out on the floor

Here's the MREs that I didn't have in my last run, and those where 08's....

As you can see, these are the real deal, and are now packaged by Sopakco instead of Wornick.

The little lady and I couldn't resist, so we had to break open two of them. I'll post the reviews for the beef brisket and buffalo chicken in the reviews section.

Until then........

Edit: Changed post...it appears that there are indeed 24 meals in 2 cases according to the AG site. I thought that the OP bought 4 cases and only saw 24 pictured
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this product netboy.

That's correct. 2 cases in 1 box, both menus. I got 4 cases, 2 boxes, 48 total. I only took pics of one box. My living room isn't that big!

Great pics netboy! I always wondered about the MREs from that place. Seems like a pretty good deal, even though they're not in the original MRE box/case. Are they all 2010 menus? Or a mixture of 2008-2010. Last time I called them, they said they just ship out whatever they have on hand.

every one of them in both boxes was 2010 production.

I was as excited as a little school girl! :D :D :D

No kidding. That is a great deal then if they were all 2010 MREs. Good catch!

It looks like their prices have gone up to $99.95 for two cases. But still...with shipping that comes out to $60/case for me and that's not too bad if they're going to be 2010 MREs.

Raised their prices? Ya know, that's what I get for procrastinating on an MRE purchase. It's still a pretty good deal for 2010 MREs, but it was better when it was $10 cheaper.
