Eversafe - the civilian MRE that won't die

I just saw an eBay auction for a case of "2011" Eversafe MREs. Knowing this means they are really "2008" MREs, I was a little skeptical because I thought Eversafe had pulled out of the civilian MRE market (again). I recall there another thread on here that mentioned Wornick offering to produce Eversafes if you wanted a truckload of them so maybe that's where these are from. If you look at the pictures, you can definitely see the "lot number" of 8259, which is late into 2008 - so they must be producing them somewhere.

The odd thing about the auction is that it says there are only 10 meals per case - but that sounds like a case of the older bowl-based meals and not the MRE-like pouch-based meals. But the picture of the contents below looks like a pouch-based meal.
