Sopacko Civilian MRE changes?

Post by george94 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 4:36 pm

Today I got a sopacko civvy mre. I looked at the mreinfo page on it and noticed something different. The spoon is not the military one but it is wider and shorter and a lighter tan than the military one. There was also a lot of snack items. Instead of the crackers, there was a wheat snack bread. It was even made in August '08 if the date codes are the same. But it seams like it will be a good civvy mre.

I think I heard from someone else that the spoon had changed. As for the contents, those are changing all the time in the Sure-Paks so I'm not too surprised about that. But I am sorry to see the military spoon go.

It looks like it would be a good spoon except it had a 1/4 inch indent in the spoon part.

I read somewhere they requested a shorter but wider spoon allows to eat the food more faster
