Hooah bar review
Hooah bar review
I bought two cases of the hooah bars, aka Soldier Fuel Energy Bars from amazon.com, they are quite rich and sweet, but working outside in minus 20 degrees here in Montana they serve their purpose. They cost 17.50 for abox of 15, not much more then a candy bar, and if you buy two boxes shipping is free. Happy Holidays.
Re: Hooah bar review
That's cool - what flavors did you get? How would you say they compare to Power Bars?
Re: Hooah bar review
I got only the chocolate.THe crisped rice through out the bar is also good. As far as comparing them to other power bars I've only had granola bars and these are much more richer.I'm sure if I ate two of them I would make myself sick.
Re: Hooah bar review
Big Boy,
I hear ya on that one. The HOOAH bars were supposed to be a meal repalcement bar in case you didn't have time grab a hot meal or a MRE. They are like Power bars but, your right, they are rich and eating two would make you sick. Make sure you drink enough water when you eat one to properly digest the bars otherwise the food will draw the water out of your system and give you constipation,
. Trust me that happened more than once
. The reason I bring this up is because Hooah bars were introduced 8-9 years ago as a test product for meal repalcement. I posted a past experience on another thread but will post it again here. The Hooah bars were introduced around 2000, that's when I first saw them, and I got one or two individually. One instructor said that you could eat one and be satisfied for a couple of hours. So that leads credibility to a meal repalcement especially if hard labor is involved.

Re: Hooah bar review
I have seen the Hooah bars for sale in the sporting store on base here at FT. Bragg, they have I think 4 flavors in them and then the new thing I have seen is a Patroit Bar and the guy told me they were much like the Hooah Bar. If anybody wants to try them let me know and I can pick some up.....for anyone on here, my cost...NO MARK UP! I have not tried either but I am game.

Oletroop,
Patriot Bar.....okay is that some sort of spinoff of the Hooah bar. If so, can you get a pic somewhere and show us. I've heard of this one before.

Re: Hooah bar review
Treesuit, glad to pick up a couple at Bragg tomorrow. I will do a taste test and send you the other. Or I might get all flavors and pass them on to some of the guys (or ladies) here.

Oletroop,
Okay if you could do a test that would be fine and a pic, just so everybody here can compare those bars with Hooah bars.
