MRE Menu C ... getem' while they last
MRE Menu C ... getem' while they last
Gentlemen (I use that term loosely)
I thought everyone would like to know that in talking to Steven at MREDepot today, he said they are down to less than one weeks worth of Menu C's. He also said that while he has an order in for two more railcars worth of 2008 Menu C's, he is having trouble getting it filled. (He figures with war, and now humanitarian needs, he is in for a wait.) So if anyone wants any, this may be the last chance for a little while.
He seems like a real nice guy. He got my order off within an hour of my paypaling it.
Thought you'd like to know.

I haven't actually gotten them yet, but I thought I'd try them since they seem to have more items in each ration. I typically share one with two of my sons (5 and 7) while we are hiking, so one MRE tends to be kind of light for the three of us. But havin said that, some of the items don't seem that useful, such as the BBQ sauce in virtually all the menus, including the omlet I think! (I'll have to check that one to be sure, but it doesn't sound very good.)
JFK06,
I agree Long Life Food Depot MRE's and parts are quite good, it's just the way they ship them to your residence that gets me torqued.
Just a notice to everyone, despite the US Postal Service prices; they are still the cheapest, probabaly safest way to ship anything here or abroad. The other shipping services may seem inexpensive but wait until they ding you with other so called fees. Total rip off. LLF Depot uses UPS and the shipping nearly blew me away when I just order a small amount the other day.
