Does anyone know the long term plans for the Menu C MRE's? There's a notice on the mredepot.com website that discounts are no longer available due to tightening demand and lowering supply. As I recall these were a custom order from the manufacturer. I'm wondering if we've seen the last of these or if mredepot.com plans to continue them.

The last I heard from MREDepot, they were planning on getting further orders of the Menu Cs. But I haven't heard from them in a month or two so I'm not sure what the current status is.

That would explain why none of the coupon codes worked when I ordered from them. I hope they keep them going; I get tired of searching ebay for someone with reasonable shipping. And I had been buying them at the commissary at Walter Reed, but they went up to $10/ea for some reason. That is too much even for a fresh MRE!

I'm just wondering if that food shortage crisis reports were hearing is catching up with the MRE's and/or the military. Seems like a long shot but from what thechip1 said the price of a MRE went up $10.00! What is that all about?
