2015 Aussie CR1M Meal E
A couple of years ago I bought two 2015 Aussie CR1M Meal E packs for a total cost of around $140 delivered. I had previously opened and looked at one of them and finally got around to eating through it this week. I didn't really prep this as a full review, but here are some observations and notes. h...

Re: MREMountain and U.S. Customs Policy?
To follow up on my post about the damaged ration...
Mremountain got back to me with a very fair store credit code. i have used it already on a freeze-dried Dutch ration. hope that one makes it through.

Re: MREMountain and U.S. Customs Policy?
Well Customs is still at it. I bought a Dutch 24-hr ration and a Norwegian Arctic ration last month. After quite a delay, I received it last week and it had been opened by customs. The Dutch ration appears to be unopened but hard to tell since it is a big zip-top bag. They did not put their "examine...

Re: Ration Heater, Mounted Troops
Yeah, I've been watching a string of them for a few weeks and some have gone stupidly high and some I forgot to follow-up at auction close time. One more bid would have gotten this one away from me.

Re: Ration Heater, Mounted Troops
Resurrecting this thread because I just bought one. $31 delivered and it arrives tomorrow.
How do you heat water with it? Will a plastic 500 ml water bottle fit inside? How were troops supposed to heat water with it as they don't issue water bottles or bagged water.

Re: Russian rations ?
You sure about that? My understanding from a couple years ago is that the pictured package might be a real mountain ration (something like 5,000 cal) or a repack of a standard army ration to LOOK like a mountain ration (around 3000 cal). I can't read the label in that pic.

Great video! Thank you for posting.
I noticed they showed the 42 items and it included the main courses in retort pouches instead of the tins. Anyone know when this happened or is happening?
