Re: British 24 Multi Climate Trial Ration
Probably a really stupid question, but what are the usual rules? I've never dealt with a ration this old before as far as I know. Not stupid at all! All questions are welcomed here. I assume it's the look and smell test. Your senses are your greatest weapon in this hobby imo. If it looks and smells...

Re: Army Ranger Kills Enemy With MRE Spoon
That one's been going around for years, you'll find it popping up every now and then without any "actionable" info. I'm not surprised. It sounds very much like one of those "guess what I just heard" stories. I still thought it a bit too "out there" to not share with the forum. For sure got a few la...

Re: B-2 Unit of Death
These B-2 horror stories are really keeping me from ever opening mine.

Re: British 24 Hour Ration Packs
The silver ones are just gross, super fake tasting, and the sesame bar is sticky, and hard, but honestly pretty good. Everything else in there from the one that I have had is pretty top notch! Oh man, at least I have the one tan sachet! I saw that you'd been doing a bit of a series on ORPs recently...

Re: Army Ranger Kills Enemy With MRE Spoon
After grabbing the spoon, he began stabbing the enemy in the neck until he was dead. Gnarly. What I wanna know is, was he using the scoop or the end of the handle? :?: :?: Man, talk about savage fighting  I hear ya on that one. Now we'll have to think twice about a Ranger armed with a MRE sp...

Re: British 24 Hour Ration Packs
I have cola, orange, tropical and apple. I've heard the blackcurrant is out of this world and I'm sorely disappointed I didn't get one in mine! Oh well, there's always Ribena. COLA!?! I for sure wanna know what that's like. I haven't been able to get my hands on an ORP yet. I've seen and heard grea...
Re: Salad Bar
This is not the first time the US Army has tried to pass off dehydrated vegetables as the equal of "fresh." Dessicated vegetables were issued to Union troops in the Civil War. These were a mixture of potatoes, cabbage, turnip, carrots, parsnips, beets, onions, peas, beans, and celery. The vegetable...

Re: MCI Jam, Pineapple
Does it have any tartness to it? I love Pineapples because to me they're the perfect inbetween of tart and sweet. Wanted to know if the jam is the same.steve1989 wrote:That stuff is amazing when not corroded. Pulpy and sweet.
