Sunday we went to Houffalize, another little town next to Bastogne were heavy fights took place. A German Panther tank felt off the river bridge, flippt over and killed its crew that way. I have an RCW that is currently suffering from the same developing problems. The polymer bonds that make up the package are degrading, and soon will crumble entirely. I am trying to decide if I am going to either sell it, eat it, take it apart and mount it in a shadow box, or what. Not sure at this...

While walking the aisles of my rations room and checking them, my 1998 RCW pouch just felt apart when I grabbed it

Usually you have to soak them in water (for hours), so I don´t know why they put them in rations.
