Re: Did bagels ever make it into MREs or FSRs?

Just looked through a 2015 FSR case and there was nothing with a bagel in it :(

Re: A Pack Civilian Rations

I believe the 0088 is the date code. 2010...wow. I've had a few of the meals here and there over the years and they are exactly what they appear to be-- generally familiar MRE components in a different package. One odd thing was that they included red star mints, and those seemed to always arrive me...

Re: Strange WORNICK MRE

Yes, they pop up here and there often. From the late 90s I believe.

Not sure if I have ever seen the components however. That would be interesting.

Re: STORM II Rations

I do see they have the cardboard entree sleeves, which the older civilian meals I've encountered do not have.

I have at least a few of those older ones on hand if we want to open some up to compare contents. I wouldn't mind at all.

Re: Globe Equipment Lifeboat and LifeRaft Ration

Amazing! Thank you for the review and the good visuals!! I never knew that malted milk candy was actually given credit as a potential survival item. I do recall in SERE school that we were given "rations" for E&E kits at one point. The situation was role playing and I guess I wasn't being a team pla...

Re: warning for veterans

Perhaps your friends are just pulling your leg. Relax, I wouldn't worry. I am a supervisor for one of the federal three letter Intel/law enforcement agencies. I also serve on a task force with seven other agencies. I have worked for a couple others as I've climbed the ladder. Most of my friends, inc...

1990s MREs on CL (Not My Sale)

Mods: If this is not appropriate, please move or delete. This is not my listing, nor do I know the seller or have any kind of vested interest in the sale. I am sharing a listing I found on my local Craigslist. Appears to be 1990s cases based on the visible lot numbers. Price is silly-crazy but it's ...

Re: US MRE 1991 Menu 8 Ham Slice

The best part about this menu in its day was that at least you knew exactly what you were getting, basically the same slice of ham that the average grocery store sold, albeit smaller. I used to squirrel these entrees away for combining with other things later. About a year ago I found one, buried de...
