Re: Spain HALAL

Hi laughing_man
thanks for the info. I was thinking of a kind of U.N. or humanitary ration.
Strangely some items are Spanish, the others are French and the box is writen in French and English and bears the "Economat des Armées" stamp on it (= French Army "Natick").

Re: Spain HALAL

Re: RCIR Menu 6

Hi, I don't know for this one but I prefer the "pork salad" hot although it's written "to be eaten cold" on the package.

Re: Let's talk binoculars

I got mine back when the Russian troops left East Germany and sold all their stuff "over the fence" for just DM250. Today the regular price is up to €600  yep, I remember I bought a brand-new Russian night vision scope for only 15 euros at the same period (so bad I change it for a laptop P...

Re: East German Rations

A brand you can't buy *legaly* where you live I fear  In France we had cigarettes in every ration pack + a few packs every month issued to every soldier (even to those who didn't smoke) until the late 80's and the RCIR. Of course, refusing the cigarette ration because you don't smoke was a good...
