I was in our local commissary last week. The MRE section was bare. Empty. Stripped. Not even a single Veggie Taco Pasta TOTM left.

Even before this recent madness, full MREs were edging up to over $10 each or $120+ a case.

I've seen the promos, but failed to notice the broadcast date. Worse, the show doesn't appear in SEARCH on my DirecTV menu. What gives? I prefer TOTMs. I normally can't finish a full MRE - and not often a full TOTM. I use either one only as fishing trip meals. But the kicker is that TOTMs are priced at about half of a full MRE and you get 3/4 as much stuff.

The reason I like this meal is because it is NOT like Chef Boyardee. It has a much more natural tomato taste, a touch tart not sweet. It is truly a tomato sauce instead of a sorta tomato but mostly cheesy, sweet sauce. More adult, if you will.
