2021 MCW Case Opening & Menu 9 Rice and Chicken, Mexican Review
I've never reviewed a US Military Ration so fresh and new! Luckily I found a full case of 2021 Meal Cold Weather MREs.The MCW replaces a Meal Ready to Eat in cold environments. Taste Testing this one was a pleasure! The freeze-dried main provides a massive portion of food while remaining lighter tha...

2017 US Halal Meal Individual Review Lentil Stew With Lamb
The US, being the melting pot of culture it is, has a diverse military. To accommodate Muslim soldiers a Halal Meal Individual is issued in place of a regular Meal Ready to Eat (MRE). Taste test reviewing these different menus is always very interesting for me. This one is Lentil Stew With Lamb from...

UAF Ukrainian Armed Forces 24 Hour Combat Ration Review DPNP-3
Let's taste test the absolutely massive Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) 24 Hour Combat Ration. Like the US Military MRE, Meal Ready to Eat, the Ukraine ration uses retort pouches for food preservation; however, it's meant to provide a full day's food for a soldier as opposed to a single meal. This is o...

Vintage 1990-91 MRE Review Escalloped Potatoes With Ham
I love eating these vintage Meals Ready To Eat. Each MRE is basically its own little time capsule. This brown bag Escalloped Potatoes With Ham ration was more than 30 years old and still in great shape aside from the disgusting dark brown applesauce, which tasted similar to cider vinegar. I still ma...

2008 Menu 22 Chicken and Dumplings - Best ration dessert I've had
We are checking out a US MRE Menu that was pretty short lived before being discontinued. Chicken and Dumplings was only around for a couple of years so I'm happy to finally taste test this one. I was most surprised by the absolutely delicious dessert I was able to put together by combining component...

2019 Russian IRP-P Review Individual Daily Ration 24-Hour
I'm generally a fan of Russian Military Rations but taste testing this 2019 24-Hour IRP-P was a little disappointing. Unlike MREs Russian rations aren't built to last so not everything was exactly fresh. A large portion of the calories in this ration pack come from crackers and the crackers were def...

Re: HBO looking for MRE enthusiasts
The show was "How To With John Wilson". For whatever reason they chose me for the segment. It was quite short but I got to try the oldest ration food I've ever had so that was cool. Season 2 Episode 2, it aired this past Friday.

Aftermath of Filming with HBO - Canvas Bag LRP Review and 1952 B-Unit
If you told me a year ago I'd be eating old food on HBO I wouldn't have believed you. Filming for "How To with John Wilson" was a fantastic experience. We taste tested a Vietnam Era LRP Ration. This video is the Aftermath. Since there is a good chance I'll never get my hands on such an old Long Rang...
