Re: 2022 Meal, Cold Weather MCW Case is Still the Same

I did get a Marble cake in a 2021 ORP, not sure what the deal with this is because it was *supposed* to be a vanilla cake from jomipsa... never seen another one of these either... almost feel bad for eating it! I managed to snag an case of 30 those from adventurenutrition.co.uk last year for about ...

Hence and why the living history repro of the foot of the 24-hour pack uses the Quaker porridge to go blocks as a replacement
I didn't even know they were a thing, but yeah they actually pretty much just look like flapjack, do they recombine into porridge if you add water?

Re: 2023 MREs - MRE43

I've bought some cases of US MRE's annually since 2017 and i feel like the enjoyment factor has gone a bit backwards in some departments. No longer any liquid hot sauce included with almost every menu and the powdered hot sauce is strange, some menus only have 1 drink and no coffee, most of the dou...

Re: Reproducing WWII British 24 Hour Ration Oatmeal Blocks

I can see where your confusion is with the oats, pre cooked rolled oats here in the UK at least means quick oats, or instant oats. (The stuff you add water or milk to and mix to make porridge like Quaker instant oats) rather than just plain rolled oats. Although do be aware that there is also varian...

Re: Hot steal on Facebook Mkt - British 24hr PD: 06/2022

There seems to be a massive influx of these at the moment with a lot of surplus stores citing that the MOD had massively over ordered, compared to last year when they were pulling in all excess stocks and diverting them to Ukraine. I get the feeling Ukraine aren't too fond of them maybe and send the...

Re: MCW main meals no longer produced by Mt. House?

Hey Cavguy, I wonder if this will reduce the shelf life for long term storage? Less artificial ingredients is much more appealing, nonetheless. Steve, funny thing is the Mountain House Military-Spec Pro-Paks actually have a guaranteed 30-year shelf life when stored unopened in a cool area below 75°...

Re: eBay confiscating packages.

Yeah well, knew it was too good to last, the Global shipping program no longer ships to my address

Ahh well it was good while it lasted and I have several dozen Mountain house and Peak refuel meals to keep me going.

All from the US, EU still seems unrestricted.....for now.

Re: eBay confiscating packages.

Oddly enough, and I dont want to jinx myself here but of late I've been using the eBay global shipping to buy in freeze dried meals from the US to the UK, namely Peak refuel and Mountain House meals, all without problem.....as we can't get them here in the UK and the companies won't send them direct...
