I recived a box of US MREs Ration A (1-12 menus). The box was packed in 2007. But the all stuff inside where 2004 year - can it be such strange thing ?? Or it was a fake box seller had sold me ?

Yesterday got "E-ration" packed 17.12.2004 and there wasn't that metal can with "meat-pate" for bisquits inside

and a question : Do we need to doil "Fruit dumplings in Custard" before eating ?

Recently I'he got a few such packs of rations without any insignia on the boxes.
But all of the stuff inside were dated by 2004 year.

A- comes for menu type, I know
but 08/04 - it is the date of creation ??? august of 2004 year ???
or date of expiring april (04) of 2008 year ???
