Re: Can any US members help?

Cheers for the heads-up mate, we have MC kit over here too that I could order, but it's a very particular jacket (using new gucci materials so I don't have to wear damp cotton in the winter...) that I want to order from a store that doesn't seem to have considered shipping abroad, or to the UK...

Re: Can any US members help?

Shameless bump! Am with UK Forces and want to order a particular Multicam jacket from the US (will go nicely with our new MTP!)... except the seller doesn´t post overseas (despite Multicam being over here commercially, so its obviously okay to export - I guess the seller must be making enough money ...

Can any US members help?

Hi guys, Are there any US members here who can help me by acting as a 'postbox' for me over there and forwarding on to the UK? Just dealing with a company who don´t like to post abroad and man can it be frustrating! Have done trades and swapsies on here before (ask Norge) and of course I would reimb...

Re: british 10-man ration pack 0403

Looks like someone has put a 76mm turret (Sabre? Scorpion? the CVR(T) that was withdrawn when Scimitar soldiered on?) on an FV432 to me... If the hull/wheel numbers are wrong could it have been a stretched 432 prototype - the turret assembly inside the hull would take up room so they'd need to stret...

Re: New Danish ration pack

The previous Danish ration does not look good! I kinda wanted one to collect but since seeing it I'm not sure I do anymore - is it really just a can of meatballs and a few brew-kit sachets? Poor Danes, can't be fun having to live off that for months at a time in Afghan, or trying to heat up a frozen...

Re: British field new 12-hour ration pack

I never knew that... will have to get some dark 70% chocolate and try it out. I did hear about someone trying to make melt-proof chocolate but if dark choc works naturally that's a lot simpler! My solution was always to leave the melted wrapper of liquid chocolate out all night, by morning it sets i...

Re: British ration terminology

Biscuits brown and biscuits fruit are not what I would describe as a cookie... they are not bread like (although they are issued as an alternative to bread, given bread for eating your pate/strawberry jam with wouldn't last very long in storage) but they are harder and plainer than what I would desc...

Re: heating kits

This cooker is identical to the Australian cooker so uses the UK number rather than issuing their own 66 NSN. But Australia isn't part of NATO? Or does the NSN system cover non-NATO countries as well? And if so, I wonder if it only covers countries that are our major trusted non-NATO partners we ar...
