Re: My shipment of 2010 MREs arrived!
Raised their prices? Ya know, that's what I get for procrastinating on an MRE purchase. It's still a pretty good deal for 2010 MREs, but it was better when it was $10 cheaper.

No kidding. That is a great deal then if they were all 2010 MREs. Good catch!netboy541 wrote:every one of them in both boxes was 2010 production.

Great review! Never saw that biscuit before. Looks almost like hard-tack. Was it better or worse than the WSB?

Re: My shipment of 2010 MREs arrived!
Great pics netboy! I always wondered about the MREs from that place. Seems like a pretty good deal, even though they're not in the original MRE box/case. Are they all 2010 menus? Or a mixture of 2008-2010. Last time I called them, they said they just ship out whatever they have on hand.

Re: EBAY Asshat of the Month Award
Yeah, this ebay moron is talking out of his ass. The whole "SF" thing was talked about at length in the following 2007 thread: http://www.mreinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=909 If you skip the pages, you'll see my post about civilian Menu C MREs having the same "SF" stamp on the tops of their MR...

Re: Emergency Food Bars reviewed in Popular Mechanics
Great link kman! I always wondered about the Mainstay blocks. Seems like a pretty good alternative to MREs for keeping some emergency rations in a car, bug out bag, etc., since it takes up less space than 1 MRE; can be eaten on the go without any prep; and has a 5 year shelf life. Funny thing, it lo...

Re: mossberg 500
+1 on the 590, but I'd go with the Mossberg 500 or 590 Mariner. It's built like a tank, has a good pump-action, the 590 has an extended mag, and comes with an optional pistol grip that can replace the standard stock. I've had my 590 since 1995 and have never had any problems with it. The bead sight ...
