Re: Brand New Leaking Issues.,

Cost. They just went way up. $16.13 per meal. Plus 5% surcharge. Yea, can get super-fresh, but thats what the Gov pays, so thats what U pay. Sad. You do the math, on a case, which you can get.

Brand New Leaking Issues.,

I've purchased several cases of both A and B at Ft. Gregg-Adams(Lee) Commissary and many single's from the loosie bin. New 2023-2024 packed. New Outer-Pack type. I've never seen so many leaking jelly/jam/PB packs in my life. If the newer type bag is loose, that's a clue something is wrong. If it's s...

Re: 2024 MRE Contents - MRE44

Nope, I just got a #2 from commissary. Pack date 4256. Ameriqual. What other surprises do they have in mind. Needed some soy sauce, but the main was very nice. Recovery T-mix with pretzels, but the pretzels were in 'small-stick' form instead of 'balls'. LOL. Truth. :?

Re: Done with MREs

If you can, get a fresh Pizza Pepperoni and Pizza Cheese, get them both really hot, some way, then mash them together and make a double pizza sandwich. Getting them really hot in the packet, is the hard part. If possible, put a few dabs of olive oil on top of each, before mashing them.

Re: CCARS

I checked with the Mgr. at commissary at Ft. G-A, she said she checked on them, and was told not available until 2025, and unknown whether they could get any, anyway. They cannot get FSR's. So, I would not hold my breath, but she did say, in some instances, they can special order items for authorize...

Re: Done with MREs

I agree. The new compressed package does not hold up well compared to the heavy plastic bags. Many of the mains suck a monkeys' ass. There are still several 'gold-items' in certain menu's. But I think can count those on both hands. Still yet, think of the purpose, in the field, and nothing else to p...

Re: Interesting French ration

Some guy in Washington State has a few on EBAY. Did the French change over their box RCIR to a bag, like the Brit's did? :?:

Re: Bill's Brew or Type I, II, or III

The old foil packs of 'spray-dried' powdered was the best. They went to tasters' choice crap, then freeze-dried, brought back spray-dried for a couple years. Gone. Never be back. You could open a pack of powdered coffee, dump it in your mouth, big swig from canteen, swish it around. Worst case scena...

Re: 6/2024 Inspection date MREs

Why would anyone want 06/24 Inspect date cases when everyone and their Mother can get 03/26 and 11/26 Inspect date cases? I mean, we all need some regardless of pack/inspect dates.
