Re: French RCIR Ration Questions

Hi Just thought id mention that we import many RCIR's from france in original sealed ( glued ) factory boxes of 12. Although i am not sure why they are white label, we do get the odd one in these cases of 12 every once in a while. Also we get individal RCIR's that are sealed by glue, tape and strap...

Re: 2021/2022 MRES - MRE42

I just opened my first case B produced in 2021 (insp. 3/24). Can confirm that menu #14 still is the beloved "Creamy Spinach Fettuccine". I may be the only one who can say this, but I like the "Creamy Spinach Fettuccine." It's not the best looking ration when you open the retort pouch, but I think i...

MIT Space Food Video

Thought I'd share this video from the 60s.

MIT had this program called "MIT Science Reporter" which did this great episode called "Food for Space Travelers."

A favorite item from the early MREs makes a cameo appearance at one point in the film.

Enjoy!

Do the mains cans have a best by date somewhere? These are commercial cans.

Re: French RCIR Ration Questions

Haven´t had a RCIR for a while, but have never seen one with a printed label. Can you spread out the contents and show a picture? Why is the box closed with tape? Was there a plastic wrapper around? Hi Housil, I'm not home right now, so I can't spread out the items right now. I can probably do it l...

French RCIR Ration Questions

Last week I received this RCIR in the mail from Ukraine. It took some punishment in on the way to me, but all the contents look good. IMG_0519.jpg IMG_0520.jpg On Monday I got another one I had ordered (I know, right? Two RCIRs at once!). I noticed that the label on the first RCIR I got (pictured ab...

Great deal with jlfletc777!

RCIR arrived quickly and he loaded the box up with extras. Thanks again
I have to agree. The RCIR I bought showed up within days, and the box was filled with a bunch of extra goodies.

Thanks, James!

Two Extremes of Accessory Packets

So, I bought three Accessory Packets off eBay. I decided to open the two packs that were the worst of the three. They seemed OK from the outside, although much of the printing had been rubbed off the packs. This was the first pack I opened: IMG_0511.jpg Although the pack appeared intact, it looks to...
