Members,

I am still sitting on a dehrdrated pork pattie circa late 80s. A rare find from my college ROTC FTX. LOL.

But the point KMAN made can not be stated any better.

Members,

Intersting topic - are rations too heavy and what is field stripped? Granted the extra cardboard is for packing and stability in drops et al.

Anyone care to comment on what would typically is field stripped?

The first strike ration looks top notch!

Members, Here is the link to the guys who make repro rations from 1880s to 1960s. They are really a top notch outfit of rations to buy for reenactors and those (like myself) who crave historical information: http://17thdivision.tripod.com BTW, if that link is bad go to google and type in german rati...

KMAN, Yikes, I have to make a confession. I am a lawyer. That being said it I would like to give you a free consultation. It appears that you may have two concerns: 1. Promoting the illegal sale of government property, ie MREs. Now would the Feds come after you? Probably not. But, then again, look w...

Members, I can not knock the snack bread/cracker, cheese, brownie and accessory pack combo. Just as recently as September 2004 I was on my annual dove hunting fest and held court with the future SO relatives with my tasty snacks. But, the accessory pack was worht its weight in gold. It gave everyone...

KMAN,

I do not know if you know this but Natick actually designed the MREs to clog up the plumbing. Seems they do not want our troops spending too much time in the loo.

I heard a rumor that the gum has a laxative.
