Re: Tabasco Bottles
...hopefully they are back for good and let's hope they are less leak prone than the old ones. Mind you, there's nothing like opening an MRE and being greeted to the smell of a leaked tabasco...... Ahh the memories  Ha! Nailed it. I opened a menu 9 beef stew this morning to a not-unpleasan...

Re: Random menu swap out in MRE case?
Thanks, interesting to see that someone else has had the exact same swap. I did have a case a while ago that had been tampered with. It had been quite carefully opened and re-sealed. It had all the correct menus, but all with pack dates two years earlier than the pack date of the case. No great dram...

Random menu swap out in MRE case?
I just opened a fairly new case B to check the contents and see if the new menu was present. I immediately spotted a rogue menu 5 – chicken chunks and my heart sank. I thought someone had already switched out one of the more desirable MREs. However once I checked the rest of the case the only genuin...

Re: British ration sent to Ukraine
The word used on the front of the bag is interesting. Palianytsia is a type of bread.
I wonder if that has some sort of symbolic meaning of comfort or assistance?

Re: The multitudes of uses for MRE pouches
Good humor. That old post should have been divided into two posts, but Am certain it’s all there without any linking error. I reverted to it from time to time. What am I overlooking? Could that link be directing to an area of the site that's not open to all? For me the link just returns me to the b...

Re: MREINFO site potential security risk warning
When I needed a certificate for a test site I was running at home I started off with GoDaddy as both registrar for the domain and SSL supplier. They were a good price to start with, but the costs rose over a few years. I now use NameCheap as both registrar and certificate authority. I can’t fault ei...

Re: MRE's in some bad movie
The Tomorrow War (2021) has an appearance from a pair of Menu 11 veggie lasagnas. Given that the scene is set in 2051 they're either 38 year old examples or the menu is coming back :) The packages look a little slim and I've never seen those markings or wording before. If they've been invented by th...

Re: 2019 Menu #5 Chicken Chunks
I had a menu 5 last week from a fairly recent case - packed Sept 2020 and I was surprised to see it included an FRH.

Re: Tabasco Bottles
Hi all... my first post...
Just got a Tabasco bottle in Menu 3. A fairly recent one. 0252 is the date code on the bag and the bottle itself is dated 0230.
Cheers
