Sorry about that... I was describing Sopakco Sure-Pak civilian MREs. The 2006 batch I had before did have the brown military spoons. The yellow spoon included in the 2008 MREs works just as well.

I received 4 cases of the 2008 Sopako MREs about a month ago. All four cases had the same menus: Beef Enchilada, Pork Rib, Penne Pasta, Cheese Omelet, Grilled Chicken, and Spaghetti. The taped boxes were actually opened and resealed with tape. The print type on the pouch matched the print type on the end of the box, but the there was a difference in the time stamp. The dates matched. Anyway thanks for the info. :)

Sure-Pak MRE questions

I have a few questions about some Sure-Pak MREs. I have found that some of the small brown boxes inside each MRE have been opened and resealed with brown tape or glue. Is this normal? Today I ate one of the Beef Enchiladas MREs with a 2006 date on it. The MRE inlcluded a Macaroni and Cheese Mexican ...
