Nice thought though I think the Cammo is the wrong type. Woodland cammo was first around in the 1980s. The cammo that they would have used if any(G.I was O.D) would have been tiger stripe. Also looks like you have an M4 type weapon there would have been likely to be an M16a1 or an Colt commando type...
