Re: Australian Defence Force Emergency Flying Ration
If you still have this ration, could you please post the dimensions of the box and if possible scans of the pamphlets so we can read them? I googled the NSN 7330-66-158-0906 and found a request for proposals in 2010 for 4000 of the boxes. If its only issued to pilots this ration is probably pretty r...

Re: Multi MRE Tast test
Thanks for the compliments. Yeah the cornbread texture was exactly like re-fried beans. Its interesting that they don't use regular dry stuffing mix like the ones that come out around thanksgiving. Maybe it would be more appropriate for the cold weather rations since those require boiling water.

Here's a quick and dirty taste test. All Ameriqual. Anyone know what the A & b in the date code stand for? Potato Cheddar Soup Flavored with Bacon Date 2289A Potato.jpg Mild cheese flavor. Could use more potato cubes. Fairly watery. Ok overall but I probably wont buy it again. Cornbread Stuffing. Da...

Re: Recipe for Iron Ration?
I've wondered about this ration for a while too. I found regarding parched wheat, a blog that talks about a parching wheat for a coffee substitute. http://bisonsurvivalblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/wheat-meat.html One of the comments recommends sprouting the wheat before parching and grinding. This blog...

Re: Good deal?
To me a good deal is what Kman says on the buying MRE's section of the MREInfo: $40-50 + $20 shipping. I'm sticking to that.

New type of MRE?
Whats this ration all about? Never seen it before. From the items it sounds civilian or some kind of off the shelf meal like the TOTM. Here's the menu from the listing: BREAKFAST: 1 CEREAL BOWL PACK 1 FRUIT CUP 1 POP TART (2PACK), 1 GRANOLA BAR OR NUTRI GRAIN BAR OR RAISIN OR SUNFLOWER SEEDS 1 UHT M...

Re: Salmonella Poisoning Prompts MRE Dairy Shake Recall
I got loose Dairyshakes with date codes starting with 5000 range and 1 in 6000 range. They are marked as made by Jianas Brothers Packaging Company. Kansas City, MO 64108. Are they part of the recall? I guess so since the recommendation was all dairy shakes? Would they just be a packager and not a ma...

Talk about a waste of money. That whole program probably cost billions. They could have just put MORE in the basic MRE's. Or shipped them MRE C's

Re: Ukraine Army Military Soldier Daily Food Ration
That website is awesome. They seem to have a civilian camping type ration as well. Google translated it as follows: Individual feeding kit (Tourist) - IKPT In the blank area where no nearby grocery stores, hunting or fishing, in a campaign or any extraordinary events, you'll need a set of products t...
