Scottsdale, in Tasmania, Australia is the development centre for ADF rations - eg the CR1M, PR1m, CR5M etc. It had an upgrade in 2014. 'Back in my day' - the 1970s-80s, and Vietnam War era rat packs - the similar ration packs, built around cans and not pouches, came 5 to a sealed tin. The tins were useful for water containers, for heating water, etc. You could even use them as a tommy cooker, improvised stove, or latrine. Can't fin...

Back in the early '70s, I was doing my AF technician training in Melbourne, and this band was becoming well known in the Melbourne pub circuit (before they went to the UK).
