Re: Finnish Combat ration

Here are the prices: 30 Euro for one 24h pack A box of 24 packs 720 Euro. They do send international, also to the U.S., but at buyers risk. The price is pretty steep, but these do come straight from the manufacturer. They are not army surplus. It's been a while when i was in the army, but they outso...

Re: EPA supply?

I agree with Housil, it makes no sense to heat up an oven for such a tiny item, it is a total waste of energy. If you in a situation where you have an oven available, you probably have a microwave available as well. If you heat it in boiling water, about 7-8 minutes should be fine (don't keep the w...

Re: EPA supply?

I just realized something. The instruktor in this video sais that you can also eat the trays cold. In other words there are no bacteria etc. that needs to be killed by heating. So one can just test how long it takes in the oven until it is just right. Heating just "improves taste and moral". http://...

Re: EPA supply?

There was some discussion on the Lidl products at http://www.mreinfo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=952&hilit=Lidl that might be relevant to your question. If the item that you purchased is package in an aluminum tray, you can probably heat it in the oven or with an Esbit stove (remove lid first). ...

Re: EPA supply?

Hi. I found these at a local Lidl here in Finland, after reading this chain. http://www.jakoon.fi/w/23060965396 http://www.jakoon.fi/w/23060967045 http://www.jakoon.fi/w/23060935704 The "best before" date is Nov 28/2010. They were not in a fridge at the store. There were other flavours there too. Tu...

I ment are they stored in a hot warehouse. Two weeks in 35C is probably about the same as 6 monts in 20C. But I quess the freshness tags are reliable then.
