Russian rations 6-12 months out of date
Got Russian rations military and civilian about 6 month- 1 months out of date. Did anyone eat them at that date point nan what would the quality be ? I'm currently staying indoors during Covid shielding and considering digging them out, so I don't have to do shopping as much. Thanks ----------------...

Re: REAL UK CADET RATIONS!
We have exactly the same rations as the regular forces do, cadets love bringing in pot noodles to supplement their rations, if they have their way every ration would have a pot noodle in it

Finally found this on the internet, a highly elusive Scottish Army rations, much rarer than finding the Loch Ness monster and the Haggis animal together in the same place !

Re: New British ORP packaging?
I've heard about it but not seen it myself yet, we are still going through the ration boxes until it runs out then transfer over to bags. I personally think its a good idea, it would be useful emergency water carrier, improvised wash basin and rubbish bag. To date I don't know if there is a flameles...

In the UK there doesn't seem to be any problems importing foreign MREs even after spending some time in the Office of Exchange, it wasn't stopped or opened.

Re: Show and tell of foreign MREs
Not in the time I had available there's too many to cook.
I've only got two hours plus NAAFI break to do it.
What I did do is break up the biscuits. Crackers and chocolates, opened the pate, then shared them out.
The cooking will have to wait until another suitable training opportunity.

Interesting comment. Basic but solid rations is a good building block to a better ration.
It did feel a bit basic, separate sealed packs is a good idea.

More photos. Pashtet and Kasha revealed. It seem more basic compared to Russian rations.
